We are thrilled to announce the signing of half-back Josh Ward.

Josh began his rugby league career as a junior at the famous Leigh Miners side. After winning the National Cup with the Miners he moved to St Helens before joining his home town club Leigh Centurions. At the start of the 2015 season he joined Barrow Raiders and helped the Cumbrian side become a real force in league 1.

After signing with his new club Josh said: “I’m really happy to join the All Golds. I spoke to Lee recently and he told me what the club is trying to achieve. You can see from the results the club have had in recent weeks, they are on an upward curve, it was an easy choice for me to make. I’m really looking forward to meeting my new team mates at training.

“My aims for this season are simple – to play my best and help the team as much as I can. I can play at scrum half or stand off, I don’t mind which. I’ll just play where I’m told.”

All Golds head coach Lee Greenwood is pleased to secure the services of Ward. He said: “It’s great to get Josh on board. He will give us something different and once he gets fully up to speed I’m sure he’ll prove to be a great addition. He’s got plenty of experience in League 1 which is important. Our squad has started to look a little bit light on numbers over the last few weeks and hopefully Josh won’t be the last new face we bring in.”
