All Golds head coach Lee Greenwood has tonight confirmed the club have extended the loans of Jay Lobwein and Steven Nield.

Utility back Steven Nield, who started our last game against South Wales Ironmen at full-back before a head injury cut short his day, has had his loan deal extended for another month. He made his debut for the Golden Fern in the 24-22 defeat to London Skolars earlier this month, his first game back after suffering a serious knee injury while playing for Championship side Oldham.

Jay Lobwein, who can play in the halves or at dummy half, will remain on loan with us until the end of the season. The Australian has featured in the last two league games since signing on loan from Rochdale. He enjoyed a superb season for Coventry Bears last year and will add quality and much needed experience to Greenwood’s young squad.

The two Championship clubs – Oldham and Rochdale – have the option of calling back Nield and Lobwein should they need them.
